Colorado State men’s basketball added a second guard to their 2019 recruiting class in as many days Tuesday in the form of Jihaun Westbrook, a shooting guard/small forward from Serrano High School in Phelan, California.
Westbrook announced his verbal commitment via Twitter.
Along with CSU, Westbrook had offers from Oklahoma State, Utah State and New Mexico among others.
Westbrook also runs track at Serrano and competed in both the high jump and 400-meter sprint as a freshman.
New coach Niko Medved has recruited hard since he stepped onto campus at CSU and has recruited several players already, going a separate route than former coach Larry Eustachy who relied heavily on transfers. With Westbrook now in the fold, the Rams will be set up early to replace the trio of guards that will graduate by then in Kris Martin, J.D. Paige and Anthony Bonner.
