Will Engle, Copy Chief
Entering his first semester as The Collegian’s Copy Chief, Will Engle could not be more grateful to follow in the footsteps of so many great editors before him.
Currently in his sophomore year at Colorado State University, Engle is pursuing degrees in English and Art. Growing up in a family of readers, Engle knew from a very young age he wanted to write and create.
At CSU, Engle sought community with other likeminded writers and quickly found himself at home at The Collegian. Joining the publication as a writer in his first semester and becoming a copy editor in his second, Engle has never known a time at CSU without The Collegian — and he would have it no other way.
As Copy Chief, Engle hopes to uphold The Collegian’s long-standing reputation as a valuable local news source for the Fort Collins and Northern Colorado communities. As a Colorado native, Engle grew up reading his hometown’s local newspaper and knows how important these institutions are to keeping a community connected. Engle believes The Collegian is no exception and is excited to play a role in helping his community stay connected and informed.
When he’s not working, Engle can be found reading, writing or hanging out with his cat Jaundice in his apartment. When not shuttered away in his very comfortable room, Engle can be found visiting museums, eating a triple dipper at Chili’s or walking around wishing he was in New York.
