Whenever I read a book, I can’t help but make connections to songs. Whether it is something a character says, music mentioned in the book, or just how a chapter makes me feel, I can usually find a song that relates to the text. Awhile back I started making reading playlists for books that I enjoyed. My own “soundtracks” if you will. For books that have been turned into movies, I like to compare my soundtracks to the official ones and see if there are any similarities in artists or themes.
The most recent reading playlist I have made is for The Hunger Games trilogy. And since those books, the movie and The Avengers are all anyone has been talking about for the last six months, I thought I would it share with you here. I even included some local Fort Collins musicians. What up.
