Vehicle collision sends 1 to hospital, closes street for hours

A serious vehicle collision at Prospect Road and Whitcomb Street caused street closures Tuesday afternoon and sent one to the hospital, according to Fort Collins Police Services.

The accident happened around 2:48 p.m. between a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with injuries, but the extent is not known at this time, according to FCPS.

The closed portion of Prospect was reopened just before 7 p.m.

No other information has been released at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
