After Curry’s passing touchdown, the BYU offense took a series of knees on their final possession to close out a solid 41-23 win over CSU.

The Rams will look to regroup next Saturday in San Antonio as they take on 2-1 UTSA.

CSU further shrinks the BYU lead with another garbage time score, as Curry finds Nader Chirchi for his first passing touchdown of the season.

Curry would find Tommy Maher in the end zone for a successful two point conversion try.

A 9-play, 67-yard drive ends with a 26-yard field goal from Matthias Dunn, and BYU once again extends their lead with 6:39 to go in the fourth.

Fourth quarter: Colorado State 15, BYU 38

Following the Farrar injury, running back Durrell Robinson found the end zone from 1 yard out to put the Rams on the board for the first time since their first drive of the game.

Darius Curry then found Jackson Harper on the two point conversion attempt to narrow the BYU lead to 23.

The injury bug continues to be a problem for the Rams in this game, as K’saan Farrar now exits with an apparent injury with 14:12 to go in the fourth.

Darius Curry is now in at quarterback.

End of third quarter: Colorado State 7, BYU, 38

Bear Bachmeier is now comfortably sitting on the sideline following an impressive outing against CSU, and backup quarterback Treyson Bourguet has checked in at quarterback.

On his first play under center, Bourguet threw a pass that was picked off by D’Angelo Hagans Jr. to give the Rams possession.

For the first time this season, BYU has turned the ball over. Bear Bachmeier threw a pass behind his intended receiver, and it was grabbed by Rams cornerback CJ Blocker. The interception was Blocker’s third of the season.

The Cougars force a punt on the opening drive of the half, then proceed to march down the field and find the end zone on the ground once again. Running back Preston Rex with the score.

End of first half: Colorado State 7, BYU 31

The Rams’ offense managed to push the ball into BYU territory in the dying seconds of the first half, but numerous drops and a poor K’saan Farrar throw derailed a potential scoring drive.

Farrar threw the ball to no-man’s-land, with three BYU defenders in the area for his first interception of the season. BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier took a knee to drain the final seven seconds off the clock.

The Rams will receive the opening kickoff of the second half.

Second quarter: Colorado State 7, BYU 31

The CSU defense continues to have no answer for the BYU offense, as Legend Glasker finds the end zone on a 5-yard jet sweep to build the lead up to a staggering 24-points.

The ground game for BYU has been on point tonight as LJ Martin broke off another run for a big gain, this time for 50-yards.

Second quarter: Colorado State 7, BYU 24

The CSU defense was able to make a stand, stopping the Cougars on third-and-6, but a 44-yard field goal was no problem for BYU’s Matthias Dunn.

The Rams will look to punch back with 6:11 to go in the first half.

After limping off the field on the Rams’ second drive, Hejny is now standing on the sideline without his helmet.

Backup quarterback K’saan Farrar is now manning the CSU offense.

BYU continues to lean on their run game, and it’s paying off. LJ Martin punched the ball in for the third time in the first quarter, and is now up to 92 yards on 9 carries.

BYU caps off a 6-play, 73-yard drive with a score, as CSU’s defense still struggles to make tackles.

Immediately following the score, BYU’s passing attack put on a show of their own.

BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier found Legend Glasker for a 70-yard gain on the second play of the drive, and LJ Martin found pay dirt for the second time today on the following play.

First quarter: Colorado State 7, BYU 7

The passing attack came up big for the Rams on a 7-play, 75-yard drive to even the game up at 7. CSU quarterback Hauss Hejny threw for 76 yards on the drive, and the Rams didn’t let a handful of penalties derail them.

Hejny found true freshman Cedric Ross for a 50-yard gain, and capped off the drive with a 7-yard touchdown pass to RJ Vick.

After a 45-minute weather delay, the rain has lifted and BYU received the opening kickoff.

It took just two plays for BYU to march into the end zone. Cougar running back LJ Martin took it the distance from 56-yards out, breaking a number of tackles along the way.
