Happy first week of the semester, my starry-eyed sweeties.
This week’s astrology involves a kind of interruption in your path forward. Not to worry, though, oftentimes when we feel off track, it is just the universe course-correcting us.
A full moon partial lunar eclipse in Pisces will occur on Thursday night. This is your chance to pivot toward a path forward that is more true to you. Buried truths and longings will rise to the surface so that we can finally recognize them. This week will be an ideal time to release what no longer serves you.
At the end of the week, Mercury and the sun will square Uranus, bringing an epiphany or a clearing of the air. Expect the unexpected with this sky.
As we near the end of August, the cosmos are asking us a simple question: What still requires your energy, and what are you finally allowed to let go of?
Rising and sun signs
Your sun sign is the zodiac sign the sun occupied when you were born, while your rising sign is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon the moment you were born. A forecast using your rising sign is more accurate than your sun sign because it looks at what areas of your life are most affected by transiting planets. Don’t know your rising sign? Read for your sun sign instead!

Aries (March 21 – April 19):
The Pisces lunar eclipse lands in your 12th house of solitude, spirituality and release. This eclipse may bring buried emotions, exhaustion or unconscious patterns to the surface. You may suddenly discover that your inner world was yearning for you to pay attention to it. Allow yourself to rest. Listen to your mind, heart and body and finally release what’s been burning you out this week.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20):
The Pisces lunar eclipse illuminates your 11th house of friendship, community and future plans. You may receive some insights about a relationship or social role that you’ve outgrown. This eclipse may cause some friendships to deepen and others to fade, subsequently making space for people who actually serve you and your path forward.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20):
The Pisces lunar eclipse lands in your 10th house of career, indicating a new chapter with your ambitions. A career realization may arrive unexpectedly. A role or goal may be completed or revealed. Let the week show you which ambitions still feel meaningful and which ones you’ve outgrown.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22):
The Pisces lunar eclipse emphasizes your ninth house of higher education, travel and beliefs. The long-term beliefs you hold about where your life is heading could reach a turning point. The way you understand life and your place in it is changing. Let yourself release any version of the future that doesn’t feel like yours anymore.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22):
The Pisces lunar eclipse activates your eighth house of shared resources and transformation. This also concerns what you share with others, what you owe others and what others owe you, as well as your interdependence. Anything concerning these areas may finally reveal what needs to be released this week.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):
The Pisces lunar eclipse is in your seventh house of partnerships and bringing a relationship or commitment toward a fundamental change. The relationship with someone may deepen, or they may accidentally show their true nature. Let yourself be seen as you truly are to ensure commitments that are no longer in alignment with your path are fully released.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):
The Pisces lunar eclipse lies in your sixth house of health, work and daily responsibilities. This eclipse may make that imbalance impossible to keep ignoring. It’s time to reassess that work-life balance, Libra! Venus, your ruling planet, is also entangled with Saturn this week, making boundaries within your relationships especially important.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):
The Pisces lunar eclipse arrives in your fifth house of creativity and self-expression. This week is asking you to remember to enjoy life as much as you can. If something you once did for fun now leaves you feeling worse, the eclipse encourages you to let it go. If an old pattern or routine drains your energy, this week may kick off the catalyst of a much-needed change.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21):
The Pisces lunar eclipse occurs in your fourth house of home, family and emotional foundations. Your living situation or an emotional pattern from childhood may begin to transform. As your external life continues to expand with you, this is a great chance to release what no longer feels like home. Use this energy to create a foundation that truly feels aligned with who you are today.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19):
The Pisces lunar eclipse occurs in your third house of communication and learning. Something you’ve been trying to understand may finally make sense this week. A conversation may reveal a truth or an idea you’ve been working on may reach new heights. This is the perfect time to release thought patterns and unfinished conversations that you want to stop carrying around.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18):
The Pisces lunar eclipse is in your second house of money, self-worth, personal resources and values. A financial situation may suddenly change this week. This astrological event also concerns self-worth. If you’ve spent the last couple of years accepting any treatment less than what you deserve, this eclipse may finally allow you to realize how worthy you are.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20):
The Pisces lunar eclipse occurs in your first house of identity and self-expression. You might feel a powerful urge to permanently shed an old version of yourself. You may be forced to face how you’ve been defining yourself through other people or how you’ve made yourself smaller in some ways. A fear, your fashion sense, an expectation or a feeling of what it’s like to be you may radically transform at this time.
