The American Dream has long been shown to be a false reality — it’s unlikely you’ll become Jeff Bezos in your lifetime. There are so many factors that contribute to whether you’ll make a ton of money, and it's stressful to know that you have no control over some of them.  Instead of prioritizing profit, why can’t we switch the conversation to “How can I be happy?” It’s clear that even if we do prioritize profit, it’s hard to even get a foot in the door and actually become successful in that way.
