It is no secret that Bernie Sanders is the only presidential candidate showing full support for medical marijuana. According to KPTV, pot shops in Portland are selling joints to raise money for Sanders’ campaign.

Two dispensaries owned by the same company, Foster Buds and Glisan Buds, have joined the “Burn One For Bernie” campaign. Both shops are advertising one gram joints for $10, and 10 percent of the profits are donated to support Sanders.

“He wants to keep the medical program alive for the nation,” said Ken Martin, Manager of Foster Buds. “Which is awesome because without the medical program, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

They plan to abide by Sanders’ individual donation cap of $2,700, and are well on their way. The sales started Tuesday and 110 joints were sold in just 24 hours.

Although the fundraisers have not heard from the official Bernie Sanders campaign, they would be excited to speak with them. For more information about the “Burn One For Bernie” campaign, check out the full story.
