The Colorado State volleyball team finds itself tabbed at No.12 in the AVCA Division I Preseason Coaches’ Poll. It is the same spot the team finished in at the end of the 2014-2015 season after going 31-3 overall and 17-1 in the Mountain West. The Rams are the only team from the Mountain West ranked in the top-25.
Penn State was voted No.1, receiving an overwhelming 54 first-place votes. Stanford came in at No. 2 and received six first-place votes. Texas, who eliminated the Rams in the Sweet-16 of the NCAA Tournament last season, received one first-place vote and came in at No.3. Florida cis right behind at No.4.

In-state rival Colorado, who the Rams eliminated from the postseason with a 3-2 win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, cracked the list at No.24.
The next poll will be released Monday.
