CSU received seven first-place votes and 97 total points. The Rams enter the 2015 season having won the MW title the last six years in a row.

The others schools to receive first-place votes were UNLV (2) and Boise State (1), who finished in a tie for second with 83 total points each, and Wyoming (1), who came in fourth with 77 points. New Mexico did not receive any first-place votes but rounded out the top-five with 67 points.

The Rams went 17-1 in conference play during the 2014-2015 season, with the only loss coming at the hands of UNLV. The two teams split the season series, each winning on their home court.
