April 24, 2015
Just two days after the departure of two key players, CSU women’s basketball head Coach Ryun Williams on Friday announced the addition of Kincsö Kelemen to the team’s 2015-16 roster.
A native of Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania, Kelemen has played with the Sepsi SIC Romanian national team since 2011. The 5-foot-9 point guard was named Player of the First League this season following the team’s trip to the Romanian League Final, while posting a 24-2 record and first-place finish in the league standings. She averaged 3.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game playing on a very experienced roster, which included Colorado native and former WNBA guard Chucky Jeffery.

“We are very excited that Kincsö is going to be a Ram,” Williams said. “She is a very good point guard with great vision and play-making ability. KK makes players around her better, and she has a very tough mindset.”
In the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, she received a gold medal as a member of the Second League and U18 Romanian National Teams. She earned silver medals in 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2012-13 on the Second League team, in 2011-12 on the U17 Romanian National Team and in 2013-14 on the U20 team. During her time with the national team, she was named captain once and earned three MVP awards as a result of her play in the final tournament.
She joins fellow Rams’ signees Callie Kaiser and Sofie Tryggedsson in the fall.
