CSU defeats University of Wyoming, 3-0

A sold-out, rocking UniWyo sports complex didn’t phase the CSU volleyball team. The Rams withstood an early Wyoming run to sweep the Cowgirls 3-0 Friday night in Laramie, WY.

Both teams tied at every score through 9 before CSU took 12-9 lead. CSU then went on a 7-2 run and c

losed the set out 25 19. Wyoming hit six unforced errors in the set to give the Rams the winning margin.

CSU’s block stepped up in the second set, rejecting four compared to just one in the first. Senior Dana Cranston continued her strong play, firing home six kills in the second set to go with her six from the first.

CSU took an early 5-2 lead in the third set, but Wyoming battled back to pull ahead 12-11. The Cowgirls would only score seven more points in the rest of the match as the Rams closed it out 25-19.
