A speaker series will relate the experiences of female scientists at Colorado State University to gender in global water issues on Thursday.

“Exploring the Influence of Gender in Science and the Environment” will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. at Avogadro’s Number located at 605 S. Mason St. The panel is sponsored by CSU’s School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES), The Center for Women’s Studies and Gender Research (CWSGR), CSU’s Women’s Initiative, the Global Women’s Scholars Network and the Ripple Effect.

The event will include panelists Ruth Alexander, CSU history professor; Suzanne Kent, anthropology professor at CSU; Ellen Wohl, professor from the Department of Geosciences at CSU; and Michele Koons from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Kate Walkins, a doctoral candidate in ecology will moderate the panel.
