I first joined The Collegian in Oct. 2020, the first semester back after COVID-19 shut everything down, after hearing about Rocky Mountain Student Media through my news writing class in March 2020. I closed my laptop after the first (virtual) opinion meeting I attended, buzzing. I had never been in a room with so many creative, interesting and curious people.

Now that the weather is getting nice, my friends and I are thrilled that we can do outside activities again. We’ve been hiking, swimming, playing volleyball or spike ball, but more than anything, my friends love to climb.   I’ve given climbing a few tries, but all I seemed to get out of it were sore forearms and blistered hands.
