Colorado State women’s basketball coach Ryun Williams plans to reload, not rebuild.
The second-year head coach, who is fresh off a 25-8 campaign and trip to the WNIT announced the addition of three transfers to the Rams roster for the 2014-15 season.

Along with local standout Myanne Hamm and former Palm Beach State star Alana Arias, who signed this fall, the Rams added some much-needed help on the offensive end with shooting guard Jamie Patrick and double-double machine Keyora Wharry. Also coming to Fort Collins is former University of Nebraska point guard Hannah Tvrdy, who will sit out next season as a redshirt and will have three years of NCAA eligibility remaining beginning in the 2015-16 season.
Wharry, a 5-foot-10 forward from Fresno City Community College, comes to Colorado State after an impressive two-year career where she led FCCC, also the Rams, to a 59-8 record while winning conference championships in each of her two seasons there. After leaving New Mexico State after her freshman season, Wharry set FCCC program records with 1,221 points and 733 rebounds. This past season Wharry was named the NorCal and CVC Player of the Year while averaging 24.4 points and 13.3 rebounds per contest, recording 25 double-doubles in 33 games for the Rams.
Patrick, a native of Hutchinson, Kan., comes to the Rams after a dominant sophomore season at Hutchinson Community College, where she was named a third-team NJCAA Division I All-American while also breaking the school’s single-season and career scoring records. During her two years with the Dragons, Patrick racked up 1,098 points, 404 rebounds, and 170 assists while shooting an impressive 52 percent from the field and 38 percent from behind the arc. She also led the Dragons to a 71-3 overall record that included two trips to the NJCAA national tournament where HCC finished in second and third place, respectively.
Tvrdy, a native of Seward, Neb., appeared in 21 games for the Cornhuskers, but chose to explore other options after this past season. A 5-foot-10 guard, Tvrdy was ranked as the 28th-best point guard nationally in the class of 2012 by HoopGurlz.com and was named second-team Super State by the Lincoln Journal Star after her junior and senior seasons. She was the Class B honorary All-State captain and led Seward High School to three consecutive state championships in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
The Rams return four of five starters from last season’s roster as well as Mountain West Sixth Player of the Year Caitlin Duffy, all of whom averaged more than nine points per contest.
