A body was found in the river near Legacy Park on Sunday afternoon, according to a series of tweets released by the Fort Collins Police Department. 

In its initial tweet at around three in the afternoon, FCPD said that they are currently investigating the incident, and that a portion of the park was closed while the investigation was conducted. 

In a followup tweet two hours later, FCPD confirmed that the deceased individual had been identified as an adult male, and that the incident appears to not be suspicious. 

According to the followup tweet, the Larimer County Coroner will release the cause of death and identification when appropriate.
