Fatal collision closes Prospect and Carriage for several hours

The intersection of Prospect and Carriage Roads was closed for several hours last night due to a fatal collision.

Just before 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night, Fort Collins Police Services received a call about a two-vehicle collision involving a 1995 Ford Bronco and 2008 Honda sedan at the intersection, which was closed for the next five and a half hours.

The driver of the Bronco was treated at the scene for minor injuries, but the driver of the Honda was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies where he later died from serious injuries caused by the crash.

Police are currently working on finding information about the crash. Anyone with information about the crash are asked to contact Officer Drew Jurkofsky at 970-416-2224 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
