Aggie Village, the new University apartment complex, opens to students on Monday, August 8.
Aggie Village, which is located on the south end of campus on Lake street next to the Lake Street Parking Garage, consists of three buildings and can house up to 973 undergraduate, graduate and visiting students.

Lodgepole, the western building, is home to the main community area for the complex and boasts a woods theme, with much of the decoration consisting of beetle-kill wood and lush green colors.
Cottonwood, the southernmost building offers a plains theme, and Tonie Miyamoto, director of communications and sustainability in Housing and Dining, said that they are currently working with the Native American Cultural Center to decorate the building authentically.
The third building, Walnut, is decorated with reclaimed walnut wood, from trees lost to the disease that has affected many of the walnut trees in Fort Collins. The building is also home to an academic commons area, which will open in spring of 2017 and allow professors to hold their course in the many classrooms offered in the building.
Conflict Resolution and Student Conflict Services will also be moving into the new buildings. Faculty Planning and Project Coordinator Rick Pott said that the hope is for the buildings to be LEED Gold Certified, with the complex being designed to possibly accommodate solar panels in the future.
Aggie Village offers studios and one, two, three or four bedroom apartments, which come fully furnished with a washer and dryer, air conditioning and a dishwasher.
Rental rates are still pending approval from the CSU Board of Governors, but have been published on the complex’s website.
