After traveling around the states and other Colorado cities, the 5Point Film Festival will make a stop at Fort Collins. This Saturday, come out to Civic Center Park for a night of outdoor adventure flicks and fun under the stars. The film festival has been an annual event since 2008, but this is the first time it’s been on tour and visiting Fort Collins.
Crosby Nordblom, festival manager, said, “It’s an opportunity to give fans of the outdoors a chance to tell their stories.”

Along with showcasing local filmmakers, each stop on the tour is tailored to the community hosting the festival. “Steamboat is a very bike-orientated town,” Norblom said. “So we would pick bike films to show. For Bozeman, Montana, however, we would play more hunting films.”
Joey Schusler, filmmaker and professional downhill mountain biker from Boulder, will be making a guest appearance to screen his new film “The Bus: A Journey Up North.”
The films will start at sundown and last approximately two hours, but plan to come early and hungry for a community tailgate that begins at 5:45 p.m. New Belgium beer and food from Waffle Lab will be available to quench your thirst and sate your hunger.
Be sure to bring your own chair or blanket for optimal seating comfort and dress warmly as well.
The event is free, but they will be accepting donations for flood relief through the United Way Long Term Recovery Fund of Larimer County.
