In the Horticulture class, students learn about the different plant sciences, what horticulture is, and the different plants that fall under it. As it's the beginning of the semester, students are currently learning about plant taxonomy and the different categories that fall under commercial horticulture. The CSU greenhouse conservatory is open to the public Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Inside there's lots of room to sit and admire the plants while studying in a quiet warm spot. The conservatory has a large accumulation of plants ranging from tropical to exotic specimens. The Colorado State University Plant Growth Facilities not only promote research and teaching, but also allows faculty, research associates, grad students, and occasionally public users access to the greenhouse, growth chamber, cold rooms, griding rooms, and more with a reservation and monthly fee.
