CSU football kick returner Lee Clubb leaves team

Sophomore wide receiver and kick returner Lee Clubb has decided to leave the CSU football team and pursue a baseball career in the state of Texas, according to CSU coach Jim McElwain.

Clubb played high school baseball at Iowa Park High School in Iowa Park, Texas before being drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the twenty-sixth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.

Clubb leaves the Rams after amassing 65 total receiving yards on nine catches and totaling 544 kick return yards on 23 total returns for an average of 23.65 yards per return.

Wide receiver Thomas Coffman will take over kick returning duties for the Rams in Clubb’s place.
