Otter Products, maker of OtterBox and LifeProof products, is dedicated to the corporate mission “We Grow to Give.” In support of this mission, the company is closing on Feb. 15 to support the OtterCares Foundation. This is the second closed2open event. Last year, the event produced 4,650 volunteer hours and impacted over 100 nonprofits and schools.

This year, the goal is to double the hours volunteered by inviting other companies and individuals to pledge time to making a difference in their communities. Any individual or company can pledge volunteer hours by visiting otterbox.com/closed2open or lifeproof.com/closed2open. Those that pledge hours are entered to win a $1,000 prize to be granted by Otter Products to any qualifying nonprofit.

Otter Shop in Fort Collins will be closing on Feb. 15, as well. The downtown retailer of all things OtterBox and LIfeProof has organized a community volunteer project, to support RAFT Project, a program supplying teachers with affordable and inspirational resources to allow their students to work, think, innovate and learn creatively. Otter Shop will be joined by employees from other downtown businesses, including Pinto’s Pallet, Ginger & Baker, Snooze, Habitat for Humanity and Ascent Studio, to volunteer time to support this worthy cause. There are still a few volunteer spots left. Interested in joining? Visit Otter Shop’s Facebook page for additional detail.
