
In a study preformed by the Department of Psychology at Carleton University, students found that pot use during pregnancy does not effect the chance of miscarriage or birth defects, according to AL.com.
The study focused on children between 5 and 6 years old who may have been exposed to marijuana in the womb.

Although no immediate consequences were found, some significant long-term effects were noted. According to the study, students who were protected from marijuana exposure during pregnancy were found more likely to test higher in school, control impulsive behavior and are less likely to be depressed.
