Milan Beauty Trends Fall 2014

Now’s time for the third installment in my Fashion Month series with Milan, probably my favorite Fashion Week of the big four. There is something about Italian style that I just like. It’s sophisticated, elegant with some edge and sexiness. The beauty is no exception; designers played it simple, but just enough to where it made an impact.

Here are some of the trends seen on the runways in Milan:

1 | Enchanted Beauty

Key features include feathery brows, lady-like liquid liner and blush. Seen at Dolce & Gabbana:

2 | Modern Graphic

With a “fade to grey” smoky eye, berry lips and bold and straight brows, Giorgio Armani went for an ultra-modern beauty look. Not to mention, they are attempting to bring back the crimped hair.

3 | 60s Bliss

Gucci went back to the 60s with Twiggy-esque false lashes, a nude lip and a side-sweeping side part, adding for a modern twist.

4 | Sleek Chic

Sleek, shiny hair with a low bun with clumped lashes and sheered out lipstick was all the rage at Prada. It gave off the vibe of very neat, yet kind of messy at the same time.

5 | The Minimalist

Fendi’s beauty regime consisted of minimal updos, smoky eyes and smoky cheeks, made with highlighting and bronzing. It gave a very dark, contrasted vibe, which is something new in terms of beauty.

In comparison to the previous Fashion Weeks that have passed, Milan’s beauty proved to be rather conservative, but was a win for me on the chicness level. The clothing was equally as chic and elegant, which I can’t wait to discuss Thursday!
