Nadia Parriott plays in a pinball tournament at Pinball Jones in Old Town Feb. 23. Parriott has been playing pinball for almost two and a half years, her favorite machine being either Bonsai Run or Elvira's House of Horrors. Parriott originally hails from New York City, coming to Fort Collins for "art and love," the latter playing a bigger part she says. Now her and her husband reside in Fort Collins hoping to move to Golden, Colorado to be closer to the mountains. (Luke Bourland | The Collegian)

Senior Marketing major Devon Heywood stands on the corner of Prospect Rd. on the afternoon of Jan. 25 in a speedo holding a sign which reads “I suck @ fantasy”. Heywood stood with the sign for an hour as punishment for falling in last place of his Fantasy Football league. At the beginning of the season Heywood “did not think this was a possibility” for him, but in the last week of the season his teams began performing poorly, consequently moving him to last place. “I had the choice between a spray tan, shaving my eyebrows or doing this,” said Heywood. “So I picked this.” (Lucy Morantz | The Collegian)

Erik Carlson installs an art piece by the Anatomy and Zoology building on Dec 11. Carlson and his wife Erica Carpenter have a company called area c projects where they designed this piece, which was commissioned by the University and Colorado Creative Industries. Nick Hollibaugh fabricated the piece and him and Carlson worked to install it. Carlson said the piece, called “veil,” was inspired by a “cell shape that was discovered recently, called the scutoid” and “it’s about looking into…  the building blocks of life.” (Ryan Schmidt | The Collegian)

Fifth year Chemical and Biological Engineering student Austin Reed spends some time practicing his BMX tricks with his friend Alonso Preciado on the sunny afternoon of November 13th. He picked up the hobby 3 years ago. In this photo he practices a trick called a wheely bar spin. "I like to ride BMX to stay in shape and take my mind of the daily struggle," said Reed. Maggie Connolly has been making jewelry for the past fifteen years.  She owns her own Jewelry shop, Old Town Metals, which has been located in Old Town Square for the last three years.  Her most popular pieces are earrings but she also makes necklaces and bracelets with materials such as sterling silver, gold, and copper.  Her favorite part about being a jeweler and owning her own business is "being able to come in and be creative every day." (Anna Montesanti | Collegian)

Fort Collins resident Bradey Monroe, 20, attempts an indy grab at Edora Skatepark. Monroe started skateboarding a 1 1/2 years ago when he started working as a contractor, and his co-workers, who all skateboard, made him interested in the sport. “It's the reward of landing those tricks," Monroe said. "Like I said, it's that mind game. You have to really tell yourself to get it, and then when you actually do get it, it's that feeling.
