Update: Fort Collins Police arrest suspect for Eastside Park stabbing

An updated press release by the City of Fort Collins further updates the Eastside Park stabbing that

occurred on March 7, 2018.

The victim in this event was identified as 36-year old Luis Renteria. Renteria was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The knife used in said stabbing was recovered by officers.

“The park was closed for approximately three and a half hours for processing,” explains the update.

During this time, FCPS deployed an “unmanned aerial vehicle, or drone” to photograph the scene. 

A booking photo of Roger Brown, the suspect in this incident, was released by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
