Interim head coach Tyson Summers said he was looking for progress, and CSU did put some points on the board, especially compared to its shutout two weeks ago. Yet the Rams fell off after a good start, allowing one too many explosive plays from UNLV.

The Rebels offense continued to pull through and produce results, something CSU saw in the first half but struggled to maintain since. The Rams have one last quarter to pull a comeback before losing bowl eligibility.

After a 37-yard strike from Anthony Colandrea to Jaden Bradley, the Rebels found another way to convert an explosive play into more momentum, and eventually, more points.

UNLV is leading by 11 going into halftime. Despite the score gap, both teams are fairly statistically even, with CSU having more passing yards and vice versa for rushing. Both have received two penalties and are working on finding ways to put the pieces together.

UNLV is pulling ahead, amassing a total of 233 yards versus CSU’s 164. Just under two minutes until the game rolls into halftime.

Jai’Den Thomas found the sweet spot within CSU’s defense to exploit once again, rushing for another over 50-yard play. Just five yards away, UNLV closed the gap and scored its second touchdown.

After an explosive 48-yard connection between Jackson Brousseau and Rocky Beers, the Rams came up short for a touchdown, shifting the focus. CSU went on to score the first field goal of the night because of Isaiah Hankins.

Running back Jai’Den Thomas broke free from CSU’s defense, tearing down the field and scored UNLV’s first touchdown of the evening. Thomas rushed for 57 yards, that play alone racking up more than half of the Rebels total 80 rushing yards.

UNLV was deep in Ram territory, preparing to score a touchdown. But CSU’s Jace Bellah had other plans. Bellah intercepted the ball in the end zone, tacking on his fourth of the season, half of the Rams’ total.
