Colorado State University’s 2012-2013 male athlete of the year is headed to Turkey to play for Besiktas.
Colton Iverson’s agent Adam Pensack confirmed that Iverson plans to join Besiktas this upcoming season.

“Boston’s roster is not ideal for us right now. There is a chance it will improve for us though,” Pensack said.
Iverson was selected with the 53 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, and was later traded to the Celtics.
Iverson’s contract with the Celtics allows him to go overseas for play.
Iverson is not leaving the NBA for good. This step would allow Iverson to get more playing time than he would with Boston’s roster, which is overflowing with forwards and centers following the Nets-Celtics trade this month.
“Boston still loves Colton, and he will sign with the Celtics,” Pensack said. “Whether it is this year or next remains to be seen.”
Besiktas has drawn a lot of attention from the NBA, including their acquisition of NBA All-Star Deron Williams of the Brooklyn Nets.
