College Football Performance Awards named Garrett Grayson to theĀ 2014 Quarterback Trophy watch list.

The award is given to the nationās top quarterback based on scientific rankings that measure how the athlete increased the overall effectiveness of their team.
Joined by Nevadaās Cody Fajardo and Utah Stateās Chuckie Keeton, Grayson is one of three Mountain West Quarterbacks named to the watch list, and one of 40 FBS quarterbacks to earn preseason recognition.Ā
Grayson, who hails from Vancouver, Washington,Ā returns in 2014 as the Mountain Westās top passer from 2013. In 2013, he broke the single-season record for passing yards, racking up 3,696 yards coupled with 23 touchdowns. HisĀ 3,696 passing yards ranked 13th among all FBS quarterbacks last season. Grayson also set the school single-season record with 297 completions.Ā
