DENVER– The Denver Nuggets officially confirmed the acquisition of point guard Aaron Brooks and forward Jan Vesley hours after the NBA Trade Deadline.
In exchange for Vesley, the Nuggets cut ties with veteran Andre Miller—after a month long dramatic saga—in a three team trade. Miller will join former Nuggets’ center Nene in Washington as the newest member of the Wizards.

Jordan Hamilton, the Nuggets’ first round draft pick in 2011, was later shipped to the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard Aaron Brooks. The Rockets are currently the hottest team in basketball.
What do these trades mean for the Nuggets?
1) Andre Miller’s vacancy from the team comes to an end, opening the availability of more options off of the bench.
2) Amidst injury troubles between star point guard Ty Lawson and backup Nate Robinson, Aaron Brooks—a former starter in the NBA— will fill in at point.
3) Expiring contracts between Vesley and Brooks will provide the Nuggets the ability to utilize cap room this offseason.
