Why Online Education is a Game-Changer for Nurses
September 25, 2023

Online education has revolutionized the way nurses acquire knowledge and skills by providing them with a flexible and accessible learning...

CSU football player of the week: Shaq Bell

In a season when consistency has been an issue in the Rams’ secondary, senior cornerback Shaq Bell has been a staple of production.

Season Stats:

39 tackles, 0.5 sack, 3 pass break-ups, 1 QB hurry

“I just can’t say enough about him as a competitor,” coach Jim McElwain said.

McElwain has been continually impressed with Bell’s ability to perform as both cornerback and safety the past two years, depending on the needs of the team.

He proved himself once again in last Saturday’s loss to Boise State, with five tackles and a pass break-up. Bell’s presence does more than anything tangible. He has firmly established himself as a team leader, especially in the secondary. He alternates between the corner and safety positions on a game-by-game basis.

The precision with which he knows the plays and executes them do not make it into the box score, but his coaches and teammates recognize the talent he brings to the field.

“Thank you for choosing me, I guess,” Bell said, accepting the honor. “It starts with coming to practice with the right attitude every day, that you’re going to get better and it translates onto the field.”
