B.A.R.E. & Weekend Forecast

If you’re planning on attending the B.A.R.E. event on campus this evening, be prepared for less than ideal conditions. It will likely rain for the duration of the event, and as the night goes on it appears the rainfall will get heavier. Conditions will be much cooler than average too. There may even be a few rumbles of thunder mixed in.

Looking ahead to the weekend, forecasts show plenty of rain and even some snow. Saturday will be pretty soggy, especially in the morning. Heading into Saturday night, temperatures should drop low enough for some snow to mix with rain. We could wake up on Sunday to about 1″ of snow on grassy surfaces. Expect more rain Sunday morning before it all finally comes to an end Sunday afternoon.

We then begin a slow warmup next week. Temperatures will in the 50s, then 60s, and finally the 70s on Wednesday. Those thunderstorms for the mid-week will be more of your “garden variety” summer storms — not the downpours we’ve had the past few days!
