“This is a tragic situation for everyone involved,” said FCPS Lieutenant Mike Trombley. “As the weather begins to get warmer, please remember there are an increased number of vehicles and pedestrians using the roadways and be cognizant of your surroundings. Our investigators will do everything they can to determine the circumstances surrounding this collision.”

Elizabeth Street was closed from Skyline Avenue and Bryan Avenue for about 5 1/2 hours until early Thursday morning while investigators were working at the scene.

Police are asking anyone with video surveillance of traffic along West Elizabeth Street around the time of the collision to contact police. Anyone with information about this incident may contact Officer Drew Jurkofsky at 970-416-2224.
