The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office arrested Fort Collins resident Daniel Gerschitz Fleishman Nov. 15 under accusations of sexual exploitation of a child.

According to a Nov. 19 press release, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted the LCSO Investigations Division in October regarding a CyberTip. The tip led to a search warrant for the home of Fleishman located at the 1100 block of North Overland Trail in Fort Collins, and multiple computers and cell phones were seized. Evidence from these devices provided the basis for Fleishman’s arrest.

Fleishman worked as a substitute teacher for the Poudre School District from 2008-2016 and the Thompson School District from 2009-2016. From 2016-18, he worked full-time for the Thompson School District. Some allegations against him occurred during his time with both districts.

Fleishman’s accusations include five felonies and one misdemeanor, including possession of child abusive images and video, production of child abusive material, unlawful electronic sexual communications and sexual assault on a child.

LCSO asks anyone with information regarding Fleishman to call LCSO Investigator Justin Atwood at 970-498-5143 or anonymously message Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868, with the possibility of a cash reward.
