Fort Collins stabbing under investigation

Police began investigating a stabbing incident Friday, Nov. 11, near Prospect Road and South Overland Trail.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, Fort Collins police were called in to a Fort Collins Urgent care center. A patient with stab wounds had come to the center for treatment.

The man had been transported to the Urgent Care center by a family member, and was then taken to Medical Center of the Rockies. Officers determined the stabbing had taken place at a 7-11 located near the intersection of Prospect Road and South Overland Trail.

Officers believe the victim and suspect had previously agreed to meet at the 7-11 location. Officers are still investigating the incident, but do not think there is a threat to the community. The relationship between the subject and victim is also still under investigation.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident, is encouraged call Detective Jeff Laguna at (970) 221-6558 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868. Crime Stoppers may also be reached through their web site at www.stopcriminals.org.
