Friday’s game begins at 6:10 p.m. while Saturday’s first pitch is at 5:15 p.m. The Coors Field gates will open two hours before the first pitch on both evenings.
Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reported:
We are all devastated by the wildfires currently burning in our state, and we are doing everything we can to help, said Rockies Owner/Chairman and CEO Dick Monfort. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by these fires.
The Rockes organization has also pledged that it will make a donation to relief efforts.
This kind of effort is exactly what all sports organizations in Colorado should be doing: raising awareness to get the public involved in relief efforts.
