The victim, from Blue River, Colorado, was reportedly being taken to the shoreline so he could leave.  As the boat was backing up to the shore to let him out, the victim jumped from the boat. The boat then backed over the victim causing the lacerations from the boat’s prop. The boat was driven by a 22-year-old Fort Collins man.

Alcohol is believed to have been involved, the release stated.

The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a joint investigation into the accident.  No charges have been filed at this time. The identity of the victim will not be released and the identity of the driver will only be released if charges are filed.
