Morantz: My Collegian breakup letter

Morantz: My Collegian breakup letter

Lucy Morantz, Co-Photo Director May 4, 2023
I’ve been sitting in front of my computer thinking of what The Collegian has meant to me throughout my college career and the same unavoidable answer keeps coming to mind: The Collegian has been my most significant relationship. Accordingly, I felt the most appropriate way for me to fill this column is to treat it as my breakup letter.  So brace yourself.

Seriously: Committing to failing my classes for The Collegian

Seriously: Committing to failing my classes for The Collegian

Bella Eckburg, Opinion Director May 4, 2023
All of a sudden, I find myself in the last week of classes and inching toward that graduation stage, praying I don’t eat shit in my heels in front of everyone.  The anxiety is borderline flesh-eating, and I just realized that the body doesn’t come with the dress I ordered online for graduation, so it drags behind me like a medieval train. I, unfortunately, am not six feet tall.

The City Council meeting room at Fort Collins City Hall overflows with audience members before the council meeting begins April 4. A council member reportedly made a deal with the Associated Students of Colorado State University that if 200 or more Colorado State University students attended the council meeting, then she would put the city's controversial U+2 housing policy on the ballot for Fort Collins voters to decide its future.

Burke: Peace out, Collegian

Burke: Peace out, Collegian

Callum Burke, Staff Reporter May 4, 2023
Simply put, writing for The Collegian has been a blur.  As I sit down and write this goodbye column, a task I have dreaded due to its sad inclinations, I cannot help but reminisce about all of the amazing article ideas created, friendships made and exciting Sunday mornings spent adding the final touches to a satire article before its noon deadline.
Peck: Thank you, Collegian, for allowing me to discover my passion

Peck: Thank you, Collegian, for allowing me to discover my passion

Aaron Peck, Staff Reporter May 4, 2023
When I first arrived on Colorado State University’s campus almost four years ago, the thought of writing for the school newspaper had never entered my mind. I had virtually no interest in journalism and had practically vowed to stop writing after high school. However, all my plans came to a grinding halt when the pandemic hit and my first year at CSU was essentially cut short. I then realized that my future needed re-evaluating, causing me to leave CSU and spend a year at Front Range Community College.
