Despite the convenience and commitment-free nature of temporary tattoos, the FDA has expressed some concerns about allergens used in the ink, according to Live Science.
“The FDA would like temporary tattoo users to report reactions to the government”, said Katherine Hollinger in an interview with Live Science, “an epidemiologist with the FDA Office of Cosmetics and Colors.”

The FDA has not received enough information about the problem to draw any complete conclusions, though.
