Students at Stanford University in California have reinvented an object found in nearly everywhere in everyday life: the light bulb.

The redesigned light switch, called Start.Home, was created as an entry to the Solar Decathlon green-building competition. The new switch aims to make energy efficiency an easy, convenient thing to do.
