Just a day after being named a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose award, Colorado State sophomore wide receiver Rashard Higgins was named one of the three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation’s outstanding receiver. The finalists were announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. Tuesday evening. Along with Higgins, Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper and West Virginia wideout Kevin White were tabbed as finalists.
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award,” Higgins said in a press release from the University. “To even be in this position for an award named after a Hall of Famer is something that wouldn’t be possible without being a part of an amazing team; coaches, teammates and all of the support we have. This is a dream come true, but it is truly a team award and we still have a lot to accomplish to reach our goals.”
