The Colorado State volleyball train rolls on.

After a 14-1 start in set one followed by a late rally in the third set, the sixth-ranked Rams crusied to their 15th win in a row overall and 26th-straight road win with a sweep of Air Force (9-13, 3-5 Mountain West) Friday night in Colorado Springs. Friday’s win also marked the 20th year in a row that the Rams (20-1, 8-0 MW) have reached 20 victories.

CSU took control of the court early with a 3-1 lead, followed by an 11-0 run initiated by a Jasmine Hanna kill. The Rams never trailed in set one and set two, heading into the break looking for their 17th-consecutive set win this season.

But the Falcons did not give up.

After trailing 20-18 in the third set, the Rams won three out of the next four points to tie the match at 21. The Falcons answered the Rams to take the lead by one, but could not hold on. A kill by Marlee Reynolds evened the score, followed by an attacker error long by Air Force that allowed CSU to take the lead.

The Rams sealed the win with Reynolds’ 11th kill of the match despite the Falcons out-hitting CSU in the third set. In the final set alone, there were 15 ties and six lead changes.

Senior setter Deedra Foss finished the night with a double-double, 33 assists and 10 digs, along three kills and a season-high five blocks. Foss facilitated one of the most balanced performances of the year by the Rams with Hanna, Reynolds and Kelsey Snider each totaling 11 kills.

Saturday concluded the first half of conference play and the Rams will return home to take on Boise State Thursday and Utah State Saturday. CSU swept both the Broncos and Aggies on the road during the first week of league play.
