Centered in Denver, Frontier Airlines is known for planes featuring images of animals on the tail wings. This year, Frontier is releasing 19 new planes and allowing a school or organization to have its mascot to appear on one of the new planes.
Frontier is holding a contest, allowing anyone to go online and vote for their school’s mascot once a day until April 30.
Colorado State University’s Cam the Ram is currently in first place with over 7,700 votes. The University of Colorado’s mascot, Ralphie the Buffalo, is in second place with approximately 5,600 votes. In third place the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets trail far behind with less than 500 votes.
The winning school or organization, besides having its mascot premier on a plane’s wing by around September 2016, will receive 20 roundtrip tickets on Frontier. Voters also have the chance to win a roundtrip ticket with weekly drawings.
