Colorado State University holds 2015 surplus sale

The fourth annual Colorado State University Surplus Property Tent Sale will take place from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at 201 W. Lake St.

Items sold at the Surplus Property Tent Sale are collected from on-campus student housing locations as part of the Leave it Behind program, sponsored by the Eco Leaders Sustainability Peer Education Program.

Items for sale at this year’s tent sale include:

Clothing and accessories
Bicycles
Electronics, including audio, video and IT equipment, Computers and monitors
Furniture, including desks, bookcases, sofas, tables and file cabinets
Office and school supplies
Books
Laboratory and scientific equipment

In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic bags at the event, customers are asked to bring their own bag or box.

CSU Surplus Property is responsible for the handling and distribution of all property that the University no longer has use for. All proceeds from items sold through the Leave it Behind program will be reallocated to the Eco Leaders Sustainability Peer Education Program at CSU to help fund programs including Leave it Behind, RecycleMania, the Green Warrior energy campaign, Earth Week programs and the annual waste audit.
