Current Vice President for University Operations Amy Parsons was named Executive Vice Chancellor Tuesday.
“Having a full-time, No. 2 person headquartered in Denver allows the Chancellor the ability to continue to effectively serve the System’s flagship institution while also ensuring smooth and consistent operations for the System,” President Tony Frank wrote in a press release.
In her new role, Parsons will manage day-to-day operations of the Colorado State University System office, help support the Board of Governors and the management of board meetings, assist Frank with legislative relationships and work with him to coordinate and support other system campuses and presidents, according to Frank.
Frank also wrote that Parsons will continue to be the lead person involved in overseeing stadium construction until it is completed.
Lynn Johnson, the current chief financial officer, will take over Parson’s current position, as well as the chief financial officer for the CSU System in January, filling a vacancy that will arise by retiring Rich Schweigert.
CSU Police Department will shift from the operations division to a direct report to Frank’s Chief of Staff Mark Gill, according to the press release.
Frank was recently named Chancellor of the CSU System by the Board of Governors May 2015.
“I am grateful to Lynn, Amy and Mark for their willingness to take on these additional duties, and I am confident that they will provide the consistent and effective leadership we need in these areas,” Frank wrote.
