New renderings for the $242 million Colorado State University stadium were released Monday. The renderings show updated projections of how the on-campus stadium will look, as well as surrounding residence halls and neighborhoods.

Bond sales of $239 million for the stadium were secured in less than 90 minutes in March. Of this, $220 million will be used toward construction, which is set to begin this summer. The stadium is expected to be completed in time for the 2017 fall season.

The University is expected to issue another round of bonds worth $160 million in order to fund upcoming projects around campus, including the new health center and Plant Environmental Research Center.

PERC will be relocating south of campus due to construction of the stadium.  The new $7.5 million facility is expected to open this summer.

The new stadium will be located on West Lake Street and Meridian Avenue, with a capacity of 40,000 people.
