Fort Collins police investigate robbery

Fort Collins police are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning at 7:26 a.m. at the 2200 block of Orchard Place, according to a police press release.

A female victim reported being confronted by a male suspect with a small knife who demanded her purse. The suspect took her purse after a brief struggle and ran from the area. The victim was transported from the scene and suffered superficial injuries.

The suspect in this incident is described as a Hispanic male who is approximately 5 foot 7 inches in height with a stocky build, black hair and brown eyes.  The suspect was reported to be wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and brown or green sweat pants.

Anyone in the area between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. who noticed anything suspicious is encouraged to call Detective Kyle Bendzsa at (970) 221-6577 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at (970) 221-6868. Crime Stoppers may also be reached through their website.
