RamStrength will host their 6th Annual Game Day and Tailgate on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m at Hughes Stadium.

According to their website, RamStrength is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to cancer survivors through scholarships, programs and services.

The tailgate is a celebration of the children who attended the Sky High Hope Camp, a weeklong summer camp in Bellvue, Colorado for children who have had or who currently have cancer as well as their siblings. RamStrength will sponsor 10 children to the camp in 2014, according to Michelle Boyle, RamStrength executive director.

Colorado State University will host a pre-game recognition of the Sky High Hope campers and their families.

CSU also donates a portion of all game ticket sales to RamStrength when the tickets are purchased through the organization.

The recipients of the RamStrength scholarship, the CSU Cancer Survivor Scholarship, will also be recognized at the tailgate.

Tickets are pre sold on the RamStrength website, but tickets for Saturday’s event are sold out. With a ticket, participants get food, drinks and an official RamStrength shirt.

Boyle said that RamStrength raised over $10,000 with all of their events last year and hope to go beyond that this year.
