Colorado State University named no. 8 on Playboy’s top party school ranking

Playboy Magazine released its list of top party schools Monday, and Colorado State University was listed as no. 8. The magazine article cited the famous Fort Collins riots as the main reason for the high ranking.

“The many bars that line College Avenue in Fort Collins’s Old Town offer the standard raucous diversions, but Fort Fun’s legendary house parties are where CSU really distinguishes itself,” the article stated. “These fests can encompass whole blocks, and more than a few have blown up into SWAT-required riots.”

The article also mentioned the legalization of marijuana as a reason for the ranking.

“Since Colorado turned green last year, Rams have been enjoying the Rocky Mountain highs alongside FoCo’s can’t-beat-’em vistas,” the article stated.
