UPDATE: Operator of Scooter Involved in Collision Saturday Evening Dies

On September 30 at 11:17 a.m., Nicholas Wilkin, 30, died at Medical Center of the Rockies. Wilkin suffered injuries from an accident Saturday evening, when he was traveling on a Vespa scooter without a helmet, and collided with a Jeep Cherokee at the intersection of Tulane Drive and Del Clair Road. The jeep, traveling west on Del Clair Road, proceeded from a stop sign, while Wilkins, traveling north on Tulane Drive, did not have a stop sign. The investigation will continue and charges are still pending. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Officer Drew Jurkofsky at 970-221-6555.
